I have been totally MIA the last month. Now that the holidays are over I have a whole slough of new weddings to share with you all!
I have a ongoing love affair with San Francisco. I always have… Every time I drive the 4.4 mile span of the Bay Bridge I peer up the columns carrying the swooping support cable into the sky and think about how fortunate I am to live within 100 miles of this fantastic city. A while back I arrived on a typically windy morning at Union Square’s Sir Francis Drake hotel to photograph Maggie and Dan’s wedding day. My very first wedding in this city happened to be at this beautiful venue and at the time I was assisting as a second shooter with my mentor and friend Scott Robert Lim. Having had the pleasure of working with a number of hotels surrounding it over the past 5 years or so, I have to say it brought me great satisfaction to walk through the doors rolling my equipment bag behind me with my OWN assistant in tow 🙂 The ceremony was a short distance away at St Patrick’s church… After which, we managed to get all the way over to Fort Point for portraits and then meandered our way back through the city to enjoy a lovely reception in the grand ballroom at the hotel! I’m honored to have been chosen to help tell and preserve forever THIS portion of Maggie and Dan’s love story and wish them the very best 🙂
Cheers!
