It’s halfway through the year already. When did summer come? With the flurry of spring weddings that turned into summer weddings, I have lost sight of the days. This is going to be a bit more of a personal post, so if you like, please read on.I have been dealt a heavy and painful personal blow this year. Things don’t always go as planned in life, and I know we have all experienced it in one way or another. Everything I am and have wanted has been lost and/or challenged. This change wasn’t what I wanted, wasn’t what I had worked so hard for, and yet it was completely out of my hands. What do you do then when you have no other choice? You pick yourself back up and start over. It is a process. It is painful. New challenges come in waves. I am at the point now where I can smile and breathe and have peace. I am excited about life again and what it may hold. I do so very love what I have, the experiences I have shared and the people in it. I have no regrets and take all these things as lessons and the elements that make life richer if not sweeter in the end. While this has been a rather personal trial, the details of which I don’t feel comfortable sharing, I am grateful for the support and encouragement many of you have given. This experience has left me to hunger for goodness, beauty, and truth. Nothing less will do.
One of the unexpected GOOD surprises that has come my way is the opportunity to work with some other photographers all over the US. If you follow me on Instagram or FB, you may have seen a little bit of my crazy travel schedule for weddings and photo shoots. I am so, so grateful for these opportunities and have met so many lovely people from all over. It has been a reprieve to see and experience new people, places, and things. Heart mending, as well.I have another flurry of weddings coming your way. My joy for photography and the venture I’ve taken here has never faltered. If I may…below are some of the images from my instagram (all photos have been taken with my iphone) from my recent journeys. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Cheers.
